IAGT has Released!

It’s a God Thing: When Miracles Happen to Everyday People released yesterday and our partners at K-LOVE and I are delighted to bring these modern day miracle stories to you because we’re confident they will bring a ton of encouragement to readers everywhere! We’re going to start collecting stories for the next volume soon, so if you hear a good miracle story, please be sure to share it with us at itsagodthing.com.

I was recently at the K-LOVE offices and we shot this video to tell people about the book.

Have you read our featured story yet? It’s a good one and it’s personal—my wife Brenda tells how God prevented her from being murdered in Hyde Park in London England.

You can help us get the word out by sharing the video on Facebook and if you want to go ahead and order a book—well, that would just be a great start to 2014!

I should probably say something crazy and profound for my first blog entry but I think I’ll just go with telling you how grateful I am.

I am grateful to Thomas Nelson Publishers for believing in It’s a God Thing: When Miracles Happen to Everyday People, even before When God Makes Lemonade hit the stores (which is this week).

I am grateful to my new friend David Pierce and the K-LOVE team for entering into this partnership with me to tell these modern miracle stories.

I am grateful to Marty Raz (the dude has put up with me for 24 years now) for helping birth this project.

I am grateful to the talented Craig Borlase (he’s English but don’t hold that against him) for agreeing to write the book.

Mostly, I am grateful to God who is the star of each of the stories we’ll tell because without Him, it wouldn’t be a miracle would it?

Don Jacobson and K-LOVE Radio Partner on
New Series to be Released by W Publishing Group

(Nashville, Tenn.) – Miracles are not reserved for the characters in the Old and New Testament; they happen to everyday people. Series Creator Don Jacobson defines a miracle as an event that clearly shows how God is involved with our lives. He has partnered with K-LOVE Radio, heard throughout the country in markets including New York, Chicago, San Francisco and more. K-LOVE receives thousands of miracle stories every month from listeners. Together, Jacobson and K-LOVE will compile these accounts into “It’s a God Thing: When Miracles Happen to Everyday People (W Publishing Group, Jan. 2014, ISBN # 9780849921995), book one of the It’s a God Thing series.

All are invited to share their God-thing stories at KLOVE.com, or the series’ website, ItsAGodThing.com. If selected, the story will be a part of this incredible book series and shared with millions of K-LOVE listeners along with readers around the world.

David Pierce, Chief Creative Officer at K-LOVE, says, “This project is close to our heart at K-LOVE because we are amazed every day at the way God chooses to use K-LOVE in our listeners’ lives. Seeing these stories come to life is a great reminder that God is indeed active and alive.”

Jacobson’s hope for the series is that readers will be as affected by these stories as he has been. “When people hear or read these miracle stories,” he says, “they will encounter a God who deeply cares for them and find hope and encouragement along the way.”

Preceding “It’s a God Thing” is the release of Jacobson’s first book with W Publishing Group, “When God Makes Lemonade: True Stories that Amaze & Encourage.” This compilation work releases April 9, 2013 and shares true stories from people all over the world about how God turned a seemingly sour circumstance into a sweet and hopeful ending.
